OLP MM2 and MM22 bad?

Hey all,

Are these models particularly bad? I'm looking for a second bass and I've always wanted a MusicMan but those things GOD expensive so I wanted some opinions on them. Are they better than Squiers?

Thanks!

IME (I own an OLP 12-string electric and have played but not owned a couple of OLP basses) they can be really good, or really bad. Their QC was not fantastic. When I bought my OLP, there were 2 identical guitars side-by-side at GC - my one was great, the other one was unplayably awful! I played a bunch of OLP stingray-style basses when they were being blown out in various stores. They were OK, but they were not good enough to make me buy them despite their low low prices. YMMV of course, and I already owned my 2 ATK's at that point, so I had SR-style basses covered. Just play before you buy, or buy from someone you trust.
