Olympic White bass, what pickguard?

Hi all,

I have a standard mim precision bass in Olympic white.. I think it is a very cool colour but the standard white pickguard does not do it justice at all. I was hoping for some suggestions on what coloured pickguards would look good (as subjective as that is).

Tort with all the covers is just classy. That bass is arctic white, which is a little more yellow than olympic, so I'm not sure how tort would look on it.

I like covers and that.. but I don't think they are too practical for me as I like to play over the pickup. I sense tort is quite the popular option

White pearloid. I know it's white on white, but the texture of the pearloid adds some break up in the pattern as well as a different shade of white.

I voted tortoise shell, but plain white on white would be fine with me. Mint green (like with Strats) would also look good.

I've got a white Stingray with a tort guard, so I vote tort. But a black guard would be good if you could find a white cover for the pickup and white knobs.

Use the tort and leave the bridge cover on. Still looks cooler than no covers at all-IMO.

But White Pearloid can be nice on a white guitar. Especially the Antique or Vintage White Pearl ones...........Very Nice!

that's cool thanks. I am not a fan of white on cream as such because it doesn't bring out the cream colour as much as say dark on cream as there is no real contrast. I think white is better suited for colours like candy apple red, midnight wine, light green and blue etc.
I will look up mint green while I am at it.

I dont have any covers on mine it is just your regular MIM Precision, I think calling it olympic white is giving people lots of different ideas of what colour it is because of the different shades of it etc.. so I will just say it is cream to make it universal

I think the white-on-white looks pretty classy. The tort doesn't look bad either, though.

You can have your pickguard in any color you want, as long as that color is Tort.
