Zoom in. They did decent work.
Yes they murdered a Rickenbacker. But on its own it’s a nicely shaped object. Just no longer worth Ric money.

Looks like they cut the body wings off, I don't see a glue line on the upper horn, and that's way longer than the original. Headstock has been heavily altered too. Meh. In the 70's Rics were not the Fetish Object they have since become, people modded them at will, though not usually to that extent. The most common mod was rounding body edges to remove the binding, and doing a "Geddy Mod" white plastic surround around a Badass bridge. I actually bought a Badass 2 intending to do that to my 78' 4001, but luckily chickened out. A curiosity, no way in hell will they get anything approaching that price. You can buy a brand new one for around $1800 if you are willing to wait for it.

I think the upper horn is original. It just looks longer because of all the material removed near where the neck intersects with the body wings and at the upper "waist". If you look where the strap button is in relation to the 12th fret, it looks about right.

This. I think the cresting wave of the headstock also went on a bit of a diet.

There are some old quaaludes in the case, brojangles.

The horns look kinda neat, but I would never do that. The body reduction by the pickguard looks hot garbage.
