My 1st thoughts as well but looking at a comparison, I'm not so sure.Looks like they cut the body wings off, I don't see a glue line on the upper horn, and that's way longer than the original. Headstock has been heavily altered too.
Original Rick, Walnut, upper horn, inside point on lines up with the 14 fret, tip of horn at the 13th. Modded Rick looks slightly longer but that could be a parallax view error. Either way, the mod looks well crafted. Just a little Gumby like.I think the upper horn is original.

Agree, they needed to leave at least 1/4 inch or more, following the curve of the pickguard.There are some old quaaludes in the case, brojangles.
The horns look kinda neat, but I would never do that. The body reduction by the pickguard looks hot garbage.
