Double Bass On changing pizz/arco when sharing stand

When sharing music stand, I understand that the inside player turn pages, doesn’t they?

But for quick/sudden changes between arco and pizz when there is not enough time to handle the switch, who stops early to prepare the change and who plays up to the switch to change later?

(I hope the question is clear enough).

IME staggering for pizz/arco changes can be handled on a case-by-case basis with a conversation, or you can establish a fixed policy, with an option to call an audible.

The inside player generally turns
the page. Trying to turn a page while
holding the bow pointed up (for quick arco- pizz) in the right hand often results in a dropped bow.
