I'm building that Explorer, and I want to do dual P pickups. As in like jazz pickups, except with Ps instead of Js. I was wondering where to position the pickups, the orientation etc.

I have had good luck in the past placing the neck pick-up 6.5" from the saddles, and the bridge pick-up 2.75" from the saddles. Measurements are to the dividing line between the 2 coils on a p-pick-up. This is just what has worked for the few I have done this way for customers
How do you orient them? Is the low side on the neck up and on the bridge down, or do you do low side towards the neck on both, or what?
