Man, it's been forever since I've posted here - school and music have been keeping me busy... Not that I was too involved with the community before my long break, but I hope everyone's doing well and that many notes are being played.
Anyway, on to the question:
I'm looking to beef up my on stage set up now that I have to compete with two guitars. My Peavey set up does well, but it's a little lacking, and I'm not really getting the warm sound I want out of it. What I'm thinking of doing is buying a Fender TV 2x10 and micing that through the PA, but then using the line out on the back to connect the 2x10 to my Peavey 4x10, and using the 4x10 as a stage monitor. I'm going to stack the 4x10 on top of a 1x15 that I don't use to get the Peavey at ear level, and leave the Fender off to the side. Am I onto something, or does this sound like a bad idea?
Just some background, my band is somewhat like the Allman Brothers and Led Zeppelin combined, but with not near as much talent as those two bands
Thanks in advance for the input. Also, sorry if this should have gone into Live Sound or something.
