Onboard pre for 2 pu's w two stacked knobs ?

I have a bass with 2 pu's. (a PJ)
I'm looking to put in a preamp w 2 stacked knobs,

the bass has 2 knobs now
And I was hoping to avoid adding another,
it's a very small space to work with.

Two stacked controls is what I'm shooting for:
1.Volume/blend
2. bass/treble

I'd love to keep it w two stacked knobs if I can.

the p retro is the only thing I see w two knobs
But it's made for a single pu, no blend control.

Can I buy this & add a blend knob?

Or do I have to buy a 3 knob pre for 2 pickups (and drill a hole for the third control)?

is this my only option?
I'm open to either type of volume control
I'm open to any reasonably simple, doable suggestions.
Would I modify a one pu, P retro type preamp to work w two pickups?

Or easier to get a standard three knob type and drill a hole, add a pot..
The ibanez Mikro is so compact, I was hoping for a two knob configuration.

I can use some practical advice.

I'm not the technical type of guy and I want to know how to approach my tech with this..
I definitely want a preamp
And I want to keep the job simple.
