Yup, when I was young I had a Ric 4001 and an SVT. I used it for jazz, weddings, blues, rock and everything else. I had two choices - use what I had or stay home.

My GK 2001RB does everything I'd need. Power galore and I get both vintage thump with my P with flats and a tonal opposite with my ray with rounds. My dirt needs are usually dealt with pedals, but I also use the dirt channel on the amp. Can't see a style I couldn't do on it.

I used to think Oranges were pretty cool-- but I got a chance to play through a Fender 400PS at one of the outdoor events here one summer, and I was in love-- but have never been able to find one. I suspect the folks who own the few that were sold just never come off them, and I can't say I blame them. On the gripping hand, I have no complaints about my Galliens at all, been running one kind or another since I think 1977.

My Tecamp leaves me wanting for nothing..... as close to perfect as I've ever gotten in 30 years.
I have (among other things) a Euphonic Audio iAmp and I think it can "do it all." It has 4-band EQ with full parametric control on each band (meaning that you can select the corner frequency of each one). In addition, it also has 4 contour switches - one for each band - that you can use to bump it up or tame it quickly. The amp section is solid, smooth and quiet. It is linear and has just the perfect amount of low end and good transients. You can feel and hear how solid it is - and easily tell that this isn't a Chinese-built amp.
I don't own one, but another superb amp that I've played through is the Trickfish. Its 1,000 watts and sounds very solid, yet still has a hi-fi quality to it. Their speakers are well-tuned too.
my gk mb800 is that amp for me. it's really hard to get a bad sound out of it. power for days. modest price. not to mention Bob Gallien is a true American success story and I'm happy to support his fine company.
The two most versatile amps I know of are the Mesa Boogie M2000 & the Tech 21 VT Bass 500.

The Fender Super Bassman does it for me. Dinner caberet jazz thru to dirty blues to clean funk to filthy metal.
Plus it peels potatoes, makes guacamole, grills steak, takes out the garbage, snuggles up next to ya in bed and performs lewd s3× acts if asked real nicely. Works as an ATM (deposits only)
and calls work when I'm sick.
Looks great in a pair of fishnets too!
