One and only one effect pedal

EBS ValveDrive. I think I must have listened to 100 or more overdrive/distortion pedals and I was not satisfied with any of them until I landed upon this pedal. I am running a 76 P-bass into a 78 Ampeg SVT with the matching (8x10), and I needed something that would preserve that tone. Works like a charm.

im agreeing with this a lot.

Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For.

either VT, set darker with more drive than I use now or Blowtorch, but I'd need it in a stand at arm level so I could fiddle with the controls...it does do a decent overdrive as well as it's lovely buzzing lowendkicking blended distortion- which is how I use it now. If a solar EPM blows out the grid, I'll go back to trumpet playing. It's the loudest instrument in the post-blackout world.
