I have an SVT810e that I'm running with my SVT 4 Pro. I noticed last night that Channel A on my head is not working. I'm running it in Dual/Mono. Does anyone know what can be done? Should I just run both full range sets off of Channel B, or should I try to run it mono/bridged? I think I tried to bridge it once before and if I played too hard, I'd hear a horrible pop. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to try to safely do something with it myself, but it definitely needs some work. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't use the amp until I had had it repaired. Running in bridge is not an option if one channel is defective. Have you made sure that it is the amp by moving all the connectors from the working channel to the faulty one? this would eliminate any cable problems you might possibly have.

I did check that, just to be sure it wasn't the cables. Is it not good to try to run each set of 4x10's off of one channel? I don't know what it'd be considered, it's not running it in bridge, it's just powering all 8 10's off of one channel. Is that harmful to one channel?
Mine did this. I now run it in stereo. I run a 1/4" cable from the pre out of channel a into the power amp in of channel b.
It won't run in bridged mode until I get the preamp for channel b fixed, but I'll most likely get a new amp instead of spending the cash to fix it.
As long as you don't go below the amps minimum load you can run as many speakers as you like from one channel.

IMO, "bridged mono" is the "natural" mode of operating the 4 PRO. The otehr modes work, but always seem weaker, more strained, less headroom, whatever.
The big pop you heard trying to run mono with one channel out was the protection. Don't do that. It overheats the amp, for one thing, and for another, you don't know what's wrong with the bad channel. Might make it more expensive to fix.

I haven't tried to run it mono/bridge with the one channel being out. I tried it when I first bought the amp and both channels were functioning properly. I just thought it was too much power for the single 8x10 alone. That's why I ran it in dual mono. I haven't tried it because I believe it wouldn't work being that mono/bridge would require both amps to function. I'm in the process of having it looked at. Thanks for the advice, everyone.
I have no clue what the slo-blow fuse is or where it would be located. I've never really worked on my own amps or cabs before. Still kinda green in that area. I'm just hoping that whatever is wrong is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. I know I haven't done anything that would cause it to blow.
