I once had Mark Egan autograph my jazz bass.
I would show it to people and they wouldn’t believe me.
I’m like “really ?” “That’s the deception I’m going to go with?” Mark Egan?
“I chose his name over McCartney, Pastorius, Clarke, Entwistle etc. to fake an autographed bass?”

by the way, not only a super nice man, but an awesome player too.

Like many people, I have never cared for Fieldy's band or playing but, gosh damn, you gotta love that man's attitude. He has SOOOO many haters and he knows it. He doesn't give a damn. His solo rap album literally discusses this. It also opens with a beat made with guns firing... it's got a lot of "moments" TB would love.

Talking to a Canadian bassist after a local gig, she let me try out her Rickenbacker (stop sniggering). On the back the word "BACHMAN" was crudely scratched in, she told me that Richard Bachman had given it to her and it may well have been the bass used on "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet". Dunno if that's true or if she was messing with me.

My boys are big Periphery fans and I took them to see Misha Mansoor when he did a workshop at a local guitar shop. Eldest son took his guitar to be signed, he wanted it signed on the front but Misha urged caution and signed it on the back of the headstock instead. Cool guy.

but it’s not something everyone would appreciate, and I was present when it was signed. I wouldn’t buy something with a signature I wasn’t present for.
