opinions about Eden Nemesis RS410 combo...

hi guys

after selling my 30 year old Peavey Combo 300 i've recently bought a Warwick WCA411 Pro secondhand & a new Hartke LH1000 to have at our rehearsal room but was left with nothing to play at home

looking up the OLX site i spotted a Eden Nemesis RS410 combo for 450€, nice & tidy & i got curious about it - after all Eden has a quality reputation right ?
& i figured it would make a perfect combo to replace my Peavey at home since for rehearsing/gigging i'm kind of set now...

problem is that no matter how i phrased my Googling, little or nothing came up in the guise of reviews, posts, etc... about this combo - which to be honest i found disconcerting

so here i am to solicit your help once again oh great ones : anyone who has had or played with this combo, knows of horror stories involving it would you be so kind as to share them with me ? pretty please ?
is it reliable? does it cut through a mix in a band setting ? does it go loud & punchy, type of tone, etc, etc....

just so you have an idea of the ''void'' on this combo out there this is the ONLY thing i found in YouTube, home to most everything that exists on this planet & yet....

This is a very understated looked over amp. When I first became an Eden artist, my rep asked if he could send me the nc410 combo before the Eden. He did and this thing was awesome. Way light, crazy punchy mids, no harsh top and perfect low end. The composite boxes (not wood) I believe get rid of that expanding wood sound some hollow deep cabs get. The amp pushes a 4-10 under it but really, the 4-10 by itself sounds better- you can hear it on my profile at Eden site, "steven Wilson" ps- not trying to sell you on it, I have trace V-type heAd, mark bass, ampeg svt of course, etc- just telling ya, great amp-

I owned an Eden Nemesis NS115 combo and thought it was a great combination of form factor and flexible tone. I good friend purchased one based on my experience and used it on 100+ gigs per year for several years without a single hiccup.

I bought an Eden RS410 320 about 10 months ago. We play medium to large clubs and it seems to have a good bottom end and a great tone. It also has a bit of head room to spare. I use a 2012 AM STD P. We are a 4 piece band with miked up drummer and loud lead and rhythm players with 4 vocals. It seems to cut through with good projection. Although a little heavy - me being 1951 vintage - the rest of the band say it is a great sound. I like this amp I am sure you will. - Cheers Wayne

I used to have a first gen '96 Nemesis 410 combo. That thing rocked. Probably my favorite solid state rig. At the time I remember it beat out an SWR Redhead handily. And reliable? It had a few thousand gallons of water poured on it during an apt. fire and after it dried out it played great for the next two years when I opted for a more modular and powerful rig.

lots of people always willing to help out & little ''attitude'' - unlike some many other forums out there...

i was feeling this combo was like a dark, dirty industry secret to be kept buried forever, so little is the info available on the web about it but reading all your enthusiastic responses/advice leads me to believe it's quite the opposite - go figure !?

which makes my lust & anxiety for/over it even worse :
the seller previously arranged to meet someone later this week to try an Ibanez Promethean combo to work out a trade of some sort & now all i haver are dark thoughts of a Promethean combo tumbling down the stairs & getting irretrievably mangled or something !! ;-)

i know, i know - the bass gods WILL punish me & i'll most likely spend eternity in bass hell playing a severely back bowed bass + a 50W Samick combo for ever but....i can always claim it's all YOUR fault, my part in it being simply of being weak & succumbing to your ''evil influence'' !!....LOL....

all jokes aside, fact is i feel this would be perfect for me : 10kg lighter than my Peavey 300, i'm betting MUCH better sound quality & it's just the right size for my minuscule house - i have this cubicle were it would fit PERFECTLY & w/ casters , wheel out easily to play

+ of course the fact i like playing over records at home ''at live concert levels'' & all indicates it would keep up w/ that

now if only that Promethean would melt or something...............LOL...

hey guys

just got home & guess what ? yes, my Eden combo has arrived....at the same time as my Hartke LH1000 ! man, when it rains, it pours - should be like this everyday !!

it's here, it's gorgeous, it's as if brand new & it's even got blue lights on top of it man - now, i KNOW i'll sound like somebody who actually knows how to play !! ;-)

The RS Series is underrated and misunderstood. The RS series are made from furniture grade plywood, and not some other kind of wood substrate. I have a Nemisis 2x12 RS 400 watt (4ohm) Cab without the head and I love mine. I especially like the handles being on the top like they are. They make picking the cab up and moving it really painless. My 2x12 is not too heavy as well. The Nemisis RS series was discontinued and IMO rebranded the EX series. There is a brand new EX 4x10 selling for only $299 on line. If I was not saving up for a Top of the Line, state of the art type cab, I would get the 4x10 and call it a day. For what I do, I have not played a venue where I could even turn up, and open up my 2x12.

Eden EX 410. It's easy to see the Nemisis RS became the Eden EX Series. It's a steal of a deal for only $299.

as little experience i have with the RS410 ( a few hours.. ) i can tell EXACTLY what you're saying & have to agree with you

i too love the handle placement, compared to my old Peavey's lone central crappy strap + 10kg less, it sure makes life a LOT EASIER when you need to move it

so far i couldn't be any happier ;-)
