Opinions on Digitech X-Series Digiverb?

I don't have any experience with this pedal, but I don't think this pedal would have any low-end losses like the digidelay. I'm pretty sure it would sound pretty cool on bass. especially if the digireverb is on the reverse reverb setting. if you're thinking of buying that pedal, by all means, give it a shot. you might be impressed with the pedal.

Thanks a lot for the opinion. Especially about the low end loss with the digidelay, because I was actually thinking about getting a digidelay along with this one. Now I think I'll save up, instead.

I have used the digiverb extensively for the last 3 years!

i ch-ch-checked it out because the surf G**tar forum was ranting and raving about the this OVER the boss spring reverb.

if i trust anyone on spring verbs its the surfguitarists

i checked it out and fell in love i picked this over the hardwire 2 boss' and 3 different EHX (although im a big EHX mark, the grail """spring""" is a P.O.S and i cant justify the cathedrals size)

its great for dub and the EQ allows you to dial in how much overtone you get of the spring or plate KLANKING..

i would however stay away from the digidelay.. i wasnt a fan,

im really MEH about most of the digi x series.. only the verb and both the bass and guitar synths really took me.

Thanks :) Almost surely going to get this one, then, and giving the digidelay a miss. Interesting that you prefer it over the Hardwire:I was thinking of possibly pouring all of my dough into it, rather than getting a digiverb and saving the rest of the money.

its posts like larks that make me NEED to save and get a digicam that doesn't take DAT tapes. :crying:

The hardwires plate was better but every other mode on the digiverb was better. esp the reverse gated and spring, which where 3 things i wanted, when stepping away from multis back to singles.

i mostly leave it in spring but have markers for reverse and gated as specials and intros that kinda thing.

i find i keep the EXACT setting and increase or lessen the decay

also really good for patching through Dub snares on the TD9 or on a DR880 and if you got a RE20 knocking about even better!:hyper:

For the money, it is not bad at all on bass. The church setting is pretty cool. The plate is beautiful. The EQ knob is nice to retain your lows so things don't get too muddy.

Is it as versatile as the Strymon Bluesky or Eventide Space? No, but they go for cheaper, and do sound pretty good.
