I´m looking for an ABG to use at home
and i´m looking at the EWB for 3 reasons:
Price, looks and it´s an Ibanez.
I´m going to use at home and maybe, just maybe
1 (one) gig amped up.

My main concern is buildquality.
Does anyone know if it´s usable or just cr*p?

My experience with Ibanez acoustic guitars (you know, the silly little 6-string things) is that they sound VERY good for the money, and hold up well to the test of time. From what I know in playing/owning Ibanez basses, I can't imagine that an Ibanez ABG would be anything less than a terrific bass for the money.

I bought one recently and have been playing it a lot, both unplugged and plugged into a Roland 30w practice amp. It sounds excellent unplugged, but I have a problem with buzz when it's plugged in. Unless you dampen the lowest string when playing the higher strings, it will start to vibrate and cause sound - not good at all. The strings are still the ones that came with the bass and I've tried all sorts of settings on the bass and the amp. However, I do like a twangy sound and this is when I notice it the most.

I would more than recommend it for unplugged play. Terrific build quality and a lovely sound. The chorus effect is tops as well. I just bought an Ibanez SR305 for plugging in, so I have the best of both worlds now :bassist:
