So I was making my way through the local CL ads and I see a vintage bass pop up for little money.
I found a 60's Schafer (Made in the Japanese Teisco Factory). Looks very interesting, and in very good shape.
Of course I know this is no vintage Fender or Ric, but this could still be a nice bass for little money.
He's asking $90, but I can most likely work him down a bit.
Just wondering opinions on if it could be a cool bass to own and a potential restoration project (Even though it looks to be in good shape). Didn't know if it was "rare" to find or not either.
Also wondering if I can get some good tones out of it (maybe opinions from current/past owners) as I'll be running it through either an Ampeg SVT810 or an Ampeg 210.
Wondering what you guys think!
Thanks
