Orange AD200 into UL310, safe?????

Now that makes more sense to me, given what I know of the Basset Hound. But the AD200 is a fairly visceral amp. It'll toss some drivers around if they aren't up to (really, I should say 'designed for') the low damping factor.

[Edit: I don't doubt that at more moderate volumes, the AD200/UL310 would sound incredible. I am just concerned about pushing that rig too hard.]

Tom.

This may explain why this amp that gets such accolades sounded so bad with my Roscoe5 with AG OPB-1 through an Orange 1x15. I didn't hear all this lusciousness I was expecting. It was farting at low volumes. I didn't try a P-Bass or plug it into an NV610. Could have been a different story.

Could be. I have not tried it with just the 1x15, but even with using both the Orange 1x15 and 4x10, I can get it to fart out a bit if I push it too hard (or with an active bass with a hot output). Now, through that head on top of an NV610 or NV215, and you can just wail away. :bassist:

interesting tid bits here...

didnt know a tube amp could cause a poor cab to have these minor annoyances. sorta making me rethink that SA410 cab for my SA200.
