Orange AD200 with MEATSMOKE Pre Amp pedal

Have my Meatsmoke running in front of the amp because there is no effects loop on the AD200. Now, if the gain on amp is up and the gain on the preamp is up, I get a popping sound from the speakers. Are the preamp from the Orange and the Meatsmoke sort of clashing? What can I do here?

Yup! Turn your gain on the amp as low as possible. Say 9 o'clock.
