You would loose a lot of output.

You've been very popular in the all the Orange threads I've read, CL.
Could I compensate by cranking up the amp? Right now when I use the GS 412, I rarely go over 3 on gain and volume.
I hate that they look so damn good only to let down on what's truly important- the sound.

Throwing more wattage at a cab is not how to get loud - adding more speaker surface area does.

FYI - when dealing with Isobaric cabs, two 2X12's does not equal the same as a standard 4X12 - it is a little better then a standard 2X12.

Actually, it won't be any louder than a 212 at all. It will, however, allow the same lows to come out of smaller boxes than if they had only 1 driver in each. That's the only advantage of isobaric design.
