Orange Pedulla Pentabuzz JJ, stolen June 1998, Memphis

My expectations for finding this bass are low, needless to say~

Memphis, TN, June-July 1998

Pedulla Pentabuzz (5 string) Serial Number (I think) was 4676 or something like that- A grade Maple, Candy Orange finish, unlined, unmarked Fretless, gold hardware, JJ Bartolinis, three control knobs.
Purchased at Olswanger Music in Memphis, December 1993.

My Buick Century was stolen and the Bass was in the trunk (what's someone with a Pedulla doing driving a Buick Century...? Priorities, is all... Priorities!). I got the car back, but alas, no bass.

This is a configuration of Pedulla you don't see every day (unless you're the guy who has it). It must still be out there somewhere. It was very traumatizing to lose. I've been having dreams about playing it lately, I never replaced it.

Obviously I'm offering to buy the bass back, no questions asked. If you've seen this bass around, please drop the individual a note with my contact info on my behalf (you get a immense gratitude and a finder's fee) I'm sure whoever now has it is unaware of where it came from.

Thank you and spread the word! Feel free to contact me with any questions.

...chrisp2u found it for sale online, informed me about it- now it is (re)purchased and on its way. It has been almost exactly 10 years...!
Unbelievable! Thanks to everyone- we have to stick together on this kind of thing~:crying:

Hey Elliott,
Guess my sloppy email housekeeping paid off :) ... I still had a copy of the original message I sent to you that I rediscovered while cleaning out my inbox... it reminded me to follow up with you after I hadn't heard anything back. Good thing!

Anyway, glad you got it back... That's very cool!

It really is truly amazing that I just happened to come across that bass on some website nearly 10 years later. I actually almost considered buying it (not realizing the rarity) before seeing your thread and suspecting that it was yours, but I wanted the P/J pickup configuration :)

Glad it's coming home!
