My first thought, honestly, was that I’d love to see Origin Effects come out with a version that replicates the 1995 Trace Elliot V-Type 220 W Head. The V-Type was based on the Fender Dual Showman preamp (as was the Alembic F-1X), so a few tweaks to the ‘64 Black Panel with a new British Racing Green front panel should do the trick, and they should add in the “Pre-Shape 1” EQ curve from the Trace Elliot solid-state heads, too.

Also, why doesn’t the Super Vintage have an “Ultra Lo”??

Hello from what I have read in the Manual I am correct in that the D.I. is unaffected by the eq and only the cab sim can be on or off for the direct signal?

Incorrect. You are reading about the "Amp Out EQ" section, the small knobs. The main EQ affects the DI.

Thanks for your input I read it yes understood it no..hahaha...I don't really use pedals so I appreciate your help..I was looking at maybe a Sansamp...but the 64 really sounds great and has cool features.

Sorry, that's underselling it by a lot. 8x10 cab sim, more flexible EQ, more sincere circuit... lot more than just "price bigger."

Daaaamn, I watched those the Bass Channel demos, when they dropped this morning, and the G.A.S. is strong! Especially as I've been looking for an always on tone shaper, for some time, now, and these seem perfect for that application. 64 or Super Vintage, though?

The thing is, I'm not sure I'm hearing "my sound" in any of these videos, but I think that has more to do with choice of instrument, technique, and music.

Even the videos from The Bass Channel, although they are closer, aren't what I want to hear.
