OTE vs. IEM

Fixed original post. The verbiage was confusing.

Since it will be an introduction to in ears for me, I am going with the Shure SE215. They get a lot of praise for a entry level IEM.

We each have a Behringer P16 mixer for our own mixes (16 channels).

I have the shure 215. It works just fine for me. If I'm listening to a favorite album of mine, I can hear the deficiencies of a single driver unit. However, when I'm playing live the difference just isn't important. It's so much better than listening to wedge monitors and going deaf. there's tons of threads on tips for getting used to IEM's and I wish you luck.
