Other bassists you dig

I like guys with good sounds playing cool notes, so it's really just whoever's playing in bands that I like. As I've said before, I don't really pay much attention to bass, I find it a little boring. Every now and then something jumps out, sure, but I try and just enjoy songs and bands. I love the way I sound on the new Ladytron record. :-) Just kidding. I don't know. New Death Cab bass playing sounds SOOO good. What an awesome record. Proud of them for entering at #1, they so deserve it.

I agree. The bass tone on the new album is great. My favorite track so far is "I will possess your heart." Now if I could just figure out if he was playing his vintage P's or his Mike Lulls for that sound...

Definitely agree about them deserving it. I've been listening to them since Transatlanticism came out (still one of my favorite albums) and have most all of their stuff. Definitely one of the more original sounding bands out these days.
