Talkbass - Duh

Myspace - I'm not on it for long though, I don't explore that much.

Stonerrock.com - another forum. FYI Stoner Rock is the genre of music my band plays. Heavy fuzzed out riffs at a slow groovin' tempo. I've found this site isn't very music related

Fat-pie.com - MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU INCLUDE THE DASH... seriously. Animations by David Firth. Dark/twisted/hilarious

tourettesguy.com - Tourettes isn't this guy's problem, he just gets really drunk and says/does some funny stuff. Both this and fat-pie I just check for updates/new vids.

progarchives.com AND allmusic.com - same purpose, finding new music... one site is just a bit more nerdy than the other. ;)



Other than that, I don't use the net.

I'd like to find some cool new sites, maybe dealing with creating pickups/microphones, circut bending, strange musical instruments/styles, creating your own (non complex ala bass guitar) musical instruments, different means of creating sound... basically music related websites are awesome. I don't mind funny at all though, funny is awesome.

What are some coooool sites.

I go to deadspin.com for a humorous take on sports news... my girlfriend will link me stuff at cuteoverload.com from time to time, too...

I work in children's books, specifically photos for children's books, and one of my favorite sites to browse and be amazed is the NASA planetary photojournal (http://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/index.html) especially the "universe" link... some pretty incredible stuff.

Other than that, I keep it to TB for music stuff. I haven't really dug any other music forums that I've checked out, albeit, I haven't been on a lot of them.

I haven't been there in a while but it was decent,
well moderated and had lots of good info.

I had to leave as GAS was starting to set in, and you can
blow some serious cash on high end acoustics.

I also like bassnutz and ebassistdotcom, there are some expatriate
TB guys over there. Mostly a good hang.

There are a few more, but not appropriate to be mentioned here.
I am sure I will be getting a PM from Latimour about his
writing needs, though.
