I've been on a self-imposed sabbatical from playing for a year - other than at church, which is extremely low pressure and low time commitment. My wife has been in graduate school and my lead singer/best friend has been battling cancer (he's WINNING!), so I took a year off to let my wife have all the time she needed for studying and such, and with Brian being sick, I didn't have the heart to play with anybody else...
Anyway, I put myself back on the market and got a call tonight for a gig tomorrow night... no rehearsal, never played with any of these cats before... it's fairly easy rock covers kind of stuff, but still... My last working band was a jam band, and I've done a lot of improvisational jazz too so I'm used to playing shows without having everything nailed down super tight, but this is a little nerve-inducing anyway.

Drummer was a sit-in too. Young kid, but really good. He's studying percussion at Miami, FL. He's maybe 20-21, and can play. Pretty easy stuff overall - Jack Johnson, Marley, had to play Margaritaville - UGH!, ALO, some Tom Petty, some Dead, a couple of Dylan tunes, etc...
