Output Jack Nuts and Washers

Howdy all. I have a Squier Affinity series p-bass that I’ve had a blast modding/upgrading. I know it’s really superfluous, but I would really love to put a brass/gold jam nut/lock nut on my output jack along with a black washer. I have had a hell of a time trying to find any leads on where to source the parts and get the correct dimensions? Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

My first place to look for pot & jack hardware is WD Music. I overhauled one of my J-basses to "black out" the hardware with their products, and it all went together just fine.

They have nuts & washers in a gold finish, which might be worth a look:

Hope that helps!

That's a tough problem. The nuts used on on standard 1/4" jacks and 1/4" shaft pots are a special size with a special thread size: 3/8-32. That thread size isn't used anywhere else in industry. You aren't going to find 3/8-32 nuts in any hardware store or general hardware supplier. They are only available from electronics components suppliers, as replacements for 1/4" jacks and pots.

I haven't done an extensive search, but I don't of anyone who sells them in gold chrome plating.

Edit: Winslow is right. WD has them.

I personally have machined up one or two custom jam nuts in brass for customers. Some years back. I bought a 3/8-32 tap just to make them.

That'll be a classy look when / if you manage it.
