Overdrive and Fuzz in one pedal

You can do this with TAFM. You can set the fuzz knob to low gain, combined with the right amount of clean to get a really nice OD sound and then kick the second switch to go into fuzz territory. I think it was @blindrabbit that told me this in the first place.

Yup that may have been me :) since that's exactly how I love to use my TAFM. It is usually a mild OD for me until I hit that gate switch, then BAM it is a full blown crazy fuzz. I love that feature of the pedal so much.

The nice thing about the OFD is that it covers a lot of great pedals in one box....but it doesn't allow more than one at a time though...so no cascading and if you need to hit the OFD hard with a hot gain, you'll still need a hot bass or a clean boost in front.

The Aftershock does though. You can blend models in parallel or stack them in serial. You can switch channels using the stereo outputs hooked up to an A/B switch, or with a tap tempo switch hooked up to the control input. Or hold down the footswitch to make it ignore the knob positions in the current preset and use the actual positions (which can be used to get two settings out of the same preset). Or hook up to midi and get 128 presets...

So pretty damn flexible!

Thanks all! I checked out a bunch of these and there were some really really good ones in there. That Wounded Paw Battering Ram is a monster! In the end, I decided that I didn't really need a heavy fuzz. Overdrive and distortion will do it. I went with the Ashdown NM2 for now. It seems decent enough and it's pretty cheap. If I decide I really do dig this pedal combo then I'll look to a better or custom pedal.

Thanks again!

I have the OFD as a recent purchase but dang now everyone has me looking at cog effects and others! Keep thinkin what would be like to have a custom dark driving with demon pedal too!

Currently using a v8 tone fuzz mainly as a oscillator after the OFD for some noise stuff but I guess could always run an OFD overdrive and stack if I really wanted crazy... The fuzz in the v8 tone fuzz is pretty crazy already so not sure I'd be able to do much but get very loud wall of noise!

To the OP good luck with the ash down

Twin ODs will do what you need, and there are plenty of two-fer pedals out there.

Crowther Double Hotcake
Crowther's Prunes & Custard, too.

There are many dual dirt pedals out there...

Another option is to get a mod done to an existing pedal you like; add a second stomper that bumps up the gain or tone or both...

The Wounded Paw is my favourite suggestion so far. That or get a couple of Elements...
