Overdrive/Distortion with eq and blend.

Way too much knob twiddling for me. Why not just get a fuzz you like?

Also, fuzz is pretty noisy and especially if you boost the highs and upper mids. Not much escaping that in any of them, though some are noisier than others.

I don't really get what you're after.
Do you want a od/dist pedal with eq and blend? Or do you want a pedal that allows for overdriving specific frequencies and also has a blend?
On the first option you have a lot of options out there. The Darkglass Ultra series of pedals are great to do that with their graphic EQ. Also some have parametric EQ or parametric mids, like the DOD boneshaker.
If you're looking for pedals that allow you to drive specific frequencies then the best one you have out there is the Source Audio Ultra Wave.

I am sorry if it wasn’t clear. So it’s option two. I was looking for a pedal with distortion - maybe just overdrive - where the eq shapes the distortion. And the eq should be have at least 6 adjustable frequencies. It doesn’t have to be parametric. And then a blend option with the clear none-equed signal. Well, and I would prefer the pedal to be analog. So the setup I have works (with a separate blend pedal. But I’m not happy with the EH fuzz. Anyways - I’ll probably keep the the blend pedal then, and just look further for a very variable distortion pedal.

well it only has 2 eq knobs but I love my westwood pedal. great if you want a transparent overdrive, and has a bass/treble boost/cut option. prob not what you're looking for, but I like talking about this pedal any chance I can get

I have been using a EH graphic fuzz with a separate blend pedal. So I can totally shape which frequencies I want distorted. Worked ok, but to noisy.

So I am looking for a Distortion/Overdrive with an eq and an overall blend - where the blend is mixing between the overdrive equed signal and a “pure” direct sound. A DG Mucrotubes X Ultra with a blend mixing with the clean signal. Is it just my googling skills, or does that pedal not exist?

I can do this with my hx stomp but it is a digital pedal. Noise isn’t an issue because you can split the signal and have noise gates on both signal paths within pedal.

ive never liked any of the blend features on distortion/ fuzz pedals. I use a damnation audio loop blender and it's a game changer, especially for down tuning. you basically set your pedal however you want then the loop blender brings in clean low end

Making a pedal digital doesn't make it noiseless. I don't know where you go that idea, but it certainly isn't true.

The Ultrawave looks like the best all in one option for what you want. I would also check out the Genzler 4OTF and Crashbox, they have a LPF and HPF so you can set the cutoff frequencies for the overdrive. Then blend it with unaffected clean.

The other options if you don’t mind having more stuff but really want total control, would be to use your blend pedal, find an OD or distortion you like the sound of, and then add a 10 band eq pedal in front of it so you can get really specific.

I’m also a sound engineer. And love making my own special sound. Six ain’t much. Low, high and four for the mids.

You can always place the Re/Q after either the 4 on the Floor or Crash Box 4 and you will have a whole lot of foot switchable tone shaping.

I’ve worked with a lot of digital gear. Some of it has a very low noise floor, but so does some well made analog gear. I have not, in 40 years of designing and using pro audio gear, run across a piece of gear that’s noiseless.

Probably comes from the idea that once a signal is digital, interference can’t cause noise. Doesn’t mean there can’t be noise picked up by the analog components or the digital algorithm itself creates unwanted artifacts.

I doubt that there is a distortion pedal with clean blend and 6 band EQ.
There are other means to achieve that goal, though.
For example a Boss LS-2, an MXR ten band EQ and a drive pedal of your choice.
Hook EQ and drive into the loop B of the LS-2 and leave loop A empty. Set the distortion and EQ to your liking and then blend with the clean sound in the LS-2 - done.
