Overdrive/Distortion with eq and blend.

I have been using a EH graphic fuzz with a separate blend pedal. So I can totally shape which frequencies I want distorted. Worked ok, but to noisy.

So I am looking for a Distortion/Overdrive with an eq and an overall blend - where the blend is mixing between the overdrive equed signal and a “pure” direct sound. A DG Mucrotubes X Ultra with a blend mixing with the clean signal. Is it just my googling skills, or does that pedal not exist?

I would like an overdrive, that I can adjust by eq. So it will only affect specific adjustable frequencies. That’s what I get now, but the EH is quite noisy. And it would be nice to have the blend function built in.

So when you say you want an overdrive with a blend and an eq, you mean a graphic eq (like with sliders) and you want the distortion amount to be relevant to the slider being used?

I could be wrong but I think Akai used to make ones (may not have had a blend per se but I think it had a clean graphic eq and a dirty one, not sure if you could do both at the same time).

i think more recently Markbass did one too.
Sorry I’ve forgotten the names on both but I think the Markbass would be the closest as it’s a bass distortion with the graphic eq

Two that you should add to your list are the Source Audio Aftershock and [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] Processor. The Aftershock is a bass specific drive pedal that uses different engines as starting points with several gain stages, 4 band EQ and a mixer with the plus that you can save 6 for instant recall.
The Ultrawave Bass Multiband Processor is a literal tool box for bass players with a multiband [1-10] distortion like your graphic fuzz on steroids, compressor, 8 band EQ, multiband tremolo, filter, mixer and more. You can save 6 sounds for easy access or up to 128 accessable via MIDI.

It’s impressive, but I’m really an analogue kind a guy. Love to tweek real buttons ;)
Since you insist on acting like a caveman , I mean guitar player insisting on analog ~:laugh:~ the only other graphic fuzz I know of is the MXR BFG07 Siete Santos Billy Gibbons Octavia Fuzz, it was interesting on bass but IMHO both the Aftershock and Ultrawave have way more potential for bass.

You might reach out to @rratajski @fuzzrocious or maybe @johnk_10 and see if they can offer some solution or are willing to cook up something custom or even a new pedal to offer. But be prepared to open your piggybank. :smug:

Boss BB-1X Bass Driver has blend and EQ. It also leaves the lows alone. It's digital, making it noiseless.

There are many overdrives and distortions with clean blends. Overdrives with EQ on the overdriven signal are a little less common, unless you count simple tone controls. The Microtubes X Ultra will indeed give you a lot of control over the overdriven signal, but you might not find the sound to your liking if you aren't playing metal. The character of Darkglass' pedals tends strongly toward metal.

Plus one on Blackhawk.
While this one does not have a graphic EQ, I’m digging this fuzz. It does have bass, mid and treble controls. And has a blend; sounds killer.
