overdrive/fuzz quest part 2

I got the second orange Bass preamp completed, and i like this one better than the first one. this one doesn't have the FAC selector, but rather an input volume (first knob on the left), a boost control (the fist), treble, bass, and master volume (speaker symbol).

I can only give the VT a nod over Flipster and Ginger in my arsenal because of the DI. It's going to make a great split signal with my U5.

okay, here's a quick clip of it (p bass w/fingers- SVT7pro, 2x15 3015 cab). the very first part is bypassed and then going thru just a few of its gain and tonal changes.

just finished another one and it sounds great with bass. it's a light to moderate overdrive with tons of low end:

another pretty cool one that is supposed to be the sonic equivalent to the original Sola Sound Tonebender (3 NOS germanium transistors with a germanium diode), which is said to be the only distortion pedal Jimmy page used on the first two zeppelin albums. IMO, it's great on guitar and pretty good (and unique) on bass.

got another one completed. the fulltone '70. I also own an original large box early version of the fulltone '70, but I like the sound on my clone with the added bias control alot more.

I also just got this one completed:
i first built it100% stock, but wanted it to be capable of more gain & dirt so i modded it. I think that it sounds really good as a clean boost or an overdrive now.

IMO, stock, it was okay. it was really designed to be just a clean boost (kinda like a rangemaster, but also capable of full range boost), and I found the treble boost switch unusable, so I took it out. it actually sounds pretty good stock, but I wanted more gain/drive so with the mods, I actually really like it. i'll make a quick clip of it and you can decide for yourself whether you like it or not.

BTW, here's a group shot of 114 pedals that I've completed (and am keeping for myself) since I started part 1 of this thread. I've built another 35 or so for my friends lately, so that makes about 150 of them that I've built in the last 9 months. plus i have 12 others that haven't been mounted in their enclosures yet.

I just finished this one (BJFE DRD, four knob w/added mid control) and it's awesome on bass after a couple of mods:
John, you're killing me with these awesome mods and pedals. And the Orange preamp is just beautiful. Bet it sounds great too. Keep it up!
John any chance you will get a sound sample of the 360+anytime soon. Been really thinking about one of those lately....
