overdrive

I've got a fender jazz bass and a 100 w combo amp never really used an efx pedal. My styles vary from funk to drum and bass style **** just looking for some cool pedals. That'd worth buying looking for a decent octave pedal and a synth if u know of any?

My amp is fine..

If you're not upgrading your setup, then we can go from there.
If you're playing out of a 100w combo (solid state, I assume), a distortion is probably what you're looking more for than an overdrive...
I think the Iron Ether Oxide is perfect for what you're looking for, to be honest.

I agree. A boost into a fuzz is my next experiment. I've tried various 'overdrives' with my bass at low wattage and they all sounded farty. I think they are best used before a loud valve amp.

Sorry to have been rude but I can't really afford to buy a decent amp setup. I'm looking at tiny terrors n other shiz, but that pedal sounds really cool that'd def the sound I'm lookin for.

It's one of the biggest sellers on Talkbass regardless of what style of music people play or the setup they have. Seriously, get into it! :)
