Oversized Strap Buttons

I put a set of Gotoh oversize strap buttons on a J bass. They were great with never a worry about the strap coming off, which was also the problem. If you wanted to take the strap off, it was a major PITA and after a few times the hole in the leather strap end was wallowed out real bad.
If you don't mind leaving your strap on all the time, they are a simple effective solution to any worries about losing your strap no matter how energetic you may be on stage.

I installed rigid flat nylon washers on Gotoh mushroom cap strap buttons. I clipped a pie-shaped portion out of each washer to slide over the shaft. It’s neater than a Grolsch or Fender rubber washer that often stick out like a dog cone collar. Each bass has its own strap to proper length anyway. So I don’t change straps.

I have a set of gotoh I added on to an order to get the free shipping.... whish I had added more...

I got some ChinaBay ones that are similar and work well but aren't as good.
