The announcer for our high school has said the same exact thing for each type of play for the past 5 years. So, to answer the question, basically everything. Seriously, can't you get some new phrases?

pretty much everything they spew at an interviewer.....one game at a time,110%,....blah.....The NFL thread got me thinking we could probably list all overused sports phrases from every sport we ever heard and then mock the TV and radio when we hear them like:
"We'll watch the film and get those things fixed in practice"
"He needs to step it up"
We didn't play with enough intensity"
"They were the better team today"
+1Instead of saying "ball", for the last ten years or so commentators have felt the need to specify "football". Same thing for "team" and even "field".
+1
Also, apparently it is necessary to append "in this football game" to every other sentence, in case the viewer doesn't know what subject is being discussed. "There's three minutes left in this football game." Thank you! If you had just said, "There's three minutes left", I might have thought you were microwaving a frozen dinner.
I also like referring to past greats in plural: Your Joe Montanas, your Troy Aikens, your John Elways.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!Guest commentator, Mike Tyson- "He Thshould've twied jutht a bit harder on the thlow pawt. Dat'th da tear jerker moment fuh me."
The guys who thank God/Jesus/Lord/etc for winning. As if God/Jesus/Lord/etc gives a crap who wins the game.
Neither of you cats get it but we really don't want to go there. At the risk of incurring a TB infraction, I must +1 this sentiment. Please people...your god may love you and you may feel that whatever athelticism & skills you possess are entirely a gift from your god, but there's no way in hell (or heaven) that your god smiled on your team at the expense of your opponent's. None whatsoever. Zero.
Unless your god is a vain, malicious, selfish god...is that what they're saying?
