Stephen here from the Black Country. Exiled out to Brummagem for the last few years but the passport's good to get back in when the desire takes. Being from the same part of the world as Ian Hill, heavy metal is pretty much in the DNA.
I tried guitar when I was about 20, failed and spent the next decade uhmming and ahhing over whether I'd find four strings easier...
... So I bought a ukulele.
A few years on and after dozens of gigs with Moselele, the itch to learn a proper instrument caught up and I bought an Epi Thunderbird. I've been playing bass for a couple of years, entirely self-taught. Lots of Googling for various bass queries inevitably led to TalkBass threads so it made sense to finally sign up.
Of course the itch is back and I'm looking to add to the family. Wonder what I'll end up with?
