Owning both a P Bass and a Jazz

I have 2 P's and 2 J's.

Fender Player P with Ernie Ball Cobalt flats
G&L LB-100 (P) with Dunlop Super Bright Stainless Steel rounds
G&L JB with Dunlop Super Bright Nickel rounds
Sire MM V5 Fretless (J) with Ernie Ball Cobalt flats

I have both and I flip between them. I keep flats on the P. Most songs I will play on either bass.

I own 5 J's and 5 P's (and an Aerodyne PJ) and love them all, they are very special to me. I was toying with the idea of selling them off and getting 1 Custom Shop of each but in the end I think I would be kicking myself since I really like the variety.... they are all different colors, some have flats, some have rounds, some are stock, others are modded/upgraded pickups, pots, tuners, etc. It's been a fun journey and I do rotate through and play all of them.

I own both. I play the J 99.9% of the time. I put Seymour Duncan Hot Stack in the neck position of my gig J basses. To get more of a P bass tone, I'll take some volume off the bridge pick up. I do this anyway, but with these pick ups "maybe" a bit more P tone ??? I at least want to think it does that after buying the 3 pick ups.

I think the best decision I made recently was to get a Fender Player series P Bass and Jazz. I could not decide which one to get and I considered an American P Bass or Jazz (could not afford both). For a little less I got the best of both worlds and although the American Fenders are better I have no issues with the MIM's. They sound and play great to me. Anyone else love owning both?

I have a 51 paisley P (90s CIJ), jaguar bass (1st run CIJ) with P and MM pickups. sandberg cali PM5
I have never been a fan of J pickups or J necks.
TBH I prefer soapbar buckers these days anyway.
