Thanks for the sunburst/black pics. I'm looking at a sunburst P bass and wondered what a black p/g would look like. Nothing wrong with white but the black does stand out nice.

It's a very early SQ serial # probably late 83/very early 84. I wish I had a JV, I have heard those things are even nicer than the SQ series. (and these things are pretty dang nice!)

Hi, how will i check the manufacture date of my Fernandes Pbass? mine is exactly the same, its just that it has a rosewood board. Thanks!

Fernandes serial did not indicate the date of manufacture. The only way to distinguish it is by looking at the headstock decal.

The following photos apply only for P-Bass type. J-Bass type had different logo.

First pic is how I bought my MIM P-Bass years ago. Last pic is the latest mod with a humbucker and a Warmoth Jazz neck...and a cool pewter color. Probably won't stay that way either.
