That's gorgeous! I've been wanting to buy one of those bodies for a while now. How's the quality of their parts?

Just recently got a MIM Precision from the guitar player in my Portuguese trad/pop band. It's there in the avatar on the left... goes to tracks very nice! Great off-the-shelf bass, my frind/guitarist bought it and was going to play bass in our band, until I auditioned and got the gig. It's very mid-rangey, unlike my Squier...

And here's a parts-built Squier, that really came around. I think the neck and body-pocket aren't perfect, but it intones and plays beautifully:

Maybe not. I have an E-4 Strat that dates to '88. The serial #'s are mixed up from that era. It's no older than '86 though.

I paid 420 CND with tax. Did I get a good deal?

I wanted to bargain the price but lost my poker face because I was far too stoked because it was better then any MIM I've played.

Mustang Bass RI would get you close and is currently being made. I don't think Fender made a true P-bass in a short scale, other than the side models like Mustang, Bullet, Musicmaker, etc.

You can order a US Lakland in a short scale P bass.

Well you know it's got a 'primary colors' thing almost going on. Faintly smacks of red/white/and blue, which I don't like- but it's not! It's tort/Maple/and deep blue. It's got a 'handsome' kind of look. Different for an electric instrument.
