Here is a couple of pics from my thread talking about when I got in my Fender Pbass Special. The pics didn't come out well but one did and I have included that one here:

I'm going to throw my Mexican back in to this thread... I just pulled it back out of the closet last night... I haven't played it much since I bought my Jazz and my Hwy One P-Bass... This has got to be my favorite basses or something... I just love the feel of the neck and it's playability. I don't have the SD in it anymore.
Even tho it's a MIM bass there is something in it that gets my juices flowing...

I guess it's time for me to get a number. I've been a pbass fan for quite a while, and since moving to Nashville have been playing them more than any of my other basses. Here's my main gigging bass these days (when I'm not playing upright), a '62 Reissue, along with my Genz Benz NeoPak / Neox212t rig:

My #1 That I have been playing and gigging for about 10 yrs. Recorded countless songs and played well over a 1000 shows with. Never failed me, not once. Never broke string either!

What a beaut! How does the neck feel with no lacquer on the back, out of interest? Does it get a bit "slow" when your hands sweat, or is it sealed with something like wax
?
I'm seriously considering doing that to my '55 CS Relic, as the nitro lacquer gets really sticky.
Please don't remove the precious nitro on the back of you lovely CS55 P.
Keep it original !!!
I dont have any problems with the neck getting slow while playing with sweaty hands what so ever.

Thats my second show and my first bass, I miss that baby. I have since gotten an Ibanez, but that thing was a classic. My gf's dad gave it to me, it was like ten years old when i got it but it sounded nice. Im kinda sad but dont regret trading it to my pro bassist uncle for an acoustic bass to practice with, but it had a good run, it was hard to play metal seeing as it was a p-bass with flats on it.(lol)
The front's not bad but the back has seen some action!
