The colour (LPB) looks a bit wrong in that picture (too light ), but this is better example ....

It's a 2005 actually, but don't tell anyone .

I must admit, I'm really proud to own both of them (I've only had the '55 since February), that's why I keep showing them off every chance I get .

haha, yeah I checked your profile and saw that its a custom shop 55 RI. I thought it looked too clean for a original 55. Still a beautiful looking bass. The LPB is killer looking too, I love that combo w/ the covers and thumbrest.

That one's not a "relic" job..

That's 43 years of

It's a late 1964 model.

It gets used pretty regularly. I still gig with it on occation, (as pictured earlier in the thread) and use it in the studio.

Here's another "working" shot with it from a month or 2 ago.

EDIT: Oh what the hell, here's color "working" shot too from Dec.

76 Fender P Bass, now the covers and the thumbrest is removed, and the pickup and the bridge is replaced with a Seymour Duncan Quarterpound and a Badass II (dont sweat, neither of those parts replaced where original to the bass, exept for maby the bridge, but i still have kept pickups, bridge and covers.)
