P-Bass + Cranked SVT = Bliss

I've not listened to the track (hearing it on my laptop would just not do anything like this justice) but can you provide some details besides the amp and bass for us studio geeks?

What did you use to reamp the track? You said processing, but what processing? Compression? EQ?

Also what did you mic the cabinet with?

I assume you used some kinda digital system to record it but if you did something like tracked it on a 2" Studer well include that as well

I don’t know all the details of what happened after the recording, but i know that there was definitely some compression and that my signal is made up of 2 different bass tracks that were blended.
1) Ampeg with a slight break up for the “body” of the sound”
2) distorted ampeg for the top end/grind
Then they were sent to a bass bus and processed together with compression and some corrective EQ to leave space for the other instruments

As for the mics it’s a sennheiser md409 and a ribbon into a UAD interface. Oh and my DI track is the G&L plugged in directly to my Noble DI w/o EQ
