Nice one.
There are people who enjoy--and whose music playing calls for--multiple string basses made of exotic woods with active electronics and gold hardware and a whammy bar and flashing LED lights and a Uranium PX-2 Space Modulator and built-in espresso machine. That's great. I am glad those instruments exist for those who want them.

I think this has been written about here or there, but I need to share...
It's a great story. But, now you need one more to put flats on.
+1 for your daughter's muppet sticker!I like the muppet face. My daughter put it on. It adds character.![]()

I've churned through a bunch of basses over the past 2 years as well. It has coincided with the busiest gigging stretch in a long, long time, so I can't attribute it to idle hands
After a decade plus of nothing but Zon 5-strings, it was a '10 AmStdP that got me back appreciating what a 4-string can do. While that bass was awesome, I want/need a bit more flexibility for my gigs and prefer active eq. Enter the new fav in the house. I have had a couple other basses come in and out of the house since this one showed up, and even today played a couple of Sadowskys and a pair of Fodera NYCs. I come back to this one and it feels like home. Perfect complement to my Rob Allens. My TF is cool, but this bass slays me - it is the only fretted bass I own now. Go figure...

Duplo42 said:. if i were a studio musician or would play in various situations, i would go for 5string with 2 pickups, piezo, eq, passive switch and more.
It gets me all the tones I need, the playability is fantastic, and the ladies love the FOLDING green.![]()
