P -Bass makeover...

Thanks, I have been wanting to do this for a while. The pics don't really do justice. I dig how it mellows the whole bass.
The big change however was the tone of the P-46, this is one sweet pickup.

The Duncan Designed pickups were good, I debated leaving them in but I am really happy with the P-46, it does have a fuller tone for sure.
I don't have a good recording set-up since I switched to Windows 7. I used to record direct to my line in through and old cassette 4 track. Worked great with XP, but then I "upgraded" to Windows 7 and now the quality sucks and there is annoying latency.
Any suggestions on my recording dilemma?
Love the new look - it's seriously making me think about putting a tort guard on this bass...

I dunno, the black blocks and the black guard seem to go hand-in-hand...but the beauty of a Jazz guard is the ease with which you can swap 'em.
My dilemma is I cannot record to my computer, I used to use XP and Audacity with my sound card line-in, but now the way W7 handles the line-in is hosed. I need an interface to record with.
I have the W7 computer and a Mac as well (yeah, I go both ways)...I need to explore my options, but that is a subject for another thread.
It is a sweet neck, it's a birdseye maple Warmoth with, as you say, a very rich rosewood board (Brazilian perhaps?).
The body is a Squier VM. I stole this bass, with the Warmoth neck, from my local GC for $89!
It was set-up beautifully, looked, played and sounded great even with the Duncan Designed pickup.
Now it is really f'ing sweet. Total investment = $175.00 with upgrades! I have a P-Bass for life!

Y'know, I was really not sure how much the new pickup would improve the bass, if at all. It did sound great already but I figured I'd give it a shot...I figured I could always switch it back if I felt like it wasn't better.
I need to hear it in a full band setting, I can't wait!
