O.k. I have a classic 50's p-bass, Black. I have been thinking of refinning the bass but cant decide on a color.

Im basically down to

1. Sonic blue.
era correct color, but i just dont know..
example.. looks cool with the gold pickguard, also with a pearloid pg too.

2. Olympic white.

A nice "versatile" color. Looks great with any pickguard, and
the cool thing is that with oly white I can make the bass fit any era with just a pickguard change.
Gold pg gives it the 50s look,
Tortise goes 60s.
and then Black pg with thumbrest goes 70's.
(even though the headstock decal would not be correct.)

I even bought all the nitro paint for the project, (sonic blue.)
But im really thinking about hitting the brakes on the blue and going white after seeing this pic!.

What do you guys think?

White or Sonic blue?

I'd definitely go with the Olympic White. It's quite classy. You might try a white/black/white (non-pearloid) pickguard with it, too, so you get the outline of the pickguard. Should have a modern look, and you'd stand out.
