I agree. But it may just be my own GAS talkin' -- I have a beautiful vintage white G&L SB-2, and really want a P-bass in light blue. Sonic, Lake Placid, whatever.

Sonic blue is very cool, and olympic white is classic, but fiesta red takes 'em all hands-down.

If it was a '60s rosewood then it would be Oly white no question, but the maple does look nice with the blue as does the pick guard. If you are possibly matching the headstock, Sonic Blue no question.

i think sonic blue with pearl white guard or white with gold guard will look great either way, i'm usually for those pastel colors but i like the white with gold if you've got a maple neck- 50s goodness- awesome! if the bass has a rosewood board, sonic for sure

Oly white with tort is nice and classic, but very ordinary, IMHO.

no, its a Fender "classic 50's" p-bass.
GREAT BASS btw, just bored with the boring black plasticky finish.
