P-Bass - Strings through-body

Hi everyone!

Recently bought a 2008 American Fender Precision.

Stock strings are Fender rounds (8250M NPS) which go through-body.

The precision is 34".

How do I know which strings (rounds or flats) will be the right length to go through the body??

Do I just look for 34" strings and assume that they will be long enough to go through the body?

The only strings you might have a problem with are the D'addario XL's, which is ironic because the "XL" doesn't mean extra long unless you order the XL's that are extra long.

I've used DR highbeams, Sit silencers, and TI flats on a 34" scale ESP that's a string through body and they were all plenty long enough.
