P Bass with acoustic show?

My band has been booked to play a tour of Poland, and part of the deal is an in store acoustic performance to promote our new album. I don't really have the money to buy a new bass, (Fender Kingman?) so do you think I could get away with just using my good old Fender American Precision Deluxe?

Throw a set of flat wounds on and string through the body? DO I have to bite the bullet and buy an acoustic?

I would think you'd be better off using the P. Even if you did buy an acoustic/electric, you wouldn't be able to keep up with the guitars.

I have the fender kingman and I just change the strings to d'addario half rounds, it´s louder and soooo much better tone. And you can always plug it trough a little amp.

Just play the P DI into the PA. I've done it in the past for some acoustic gigs, worked out pretty well.

What kind of store? A music store? Seems to me they can loan you a small amp for a one-off performance.
