P bass

IMO, the MIM P's are very good basses the way that they come stock, but IME, if you install a duncan SPB1 pickup in it it'll be fatter, smoother, have a better string to string punch and balance and really capture a vintage P bass 'vibe'.

Seems like a reasonably priced upgrade. If I end up liking the bass I will consider this. Thanks John.

I love the sound of p basses, but I've never been able to get used to the body, can't stand them. Just a personal thing.

As far as the bar brawls, I've said it before, and will continue to say it, get a T-40. Sounds great and heavy and solid enough that you could easily kill someone with it
