P-basses

Watch Craig's List - - - BE PATIENT !!!

Good used ones pop up there all the time.
Get a good used Fender.

And don't be afraid of MIM (made in Mexico)
Some are really great - I own two of them myself and am very satisfied. Kust go and try them out first. It won't be long before you find your bass at a great price.

My fave P basses are the various BC Rich basses. Available with either two P pups for neck and bridge, or single mid to neck position P pup. I like them better then fenders P basses. Cause of body wood preferances, more comfortable necks, nicer to me build, and overall fit. Available in warlock, eagle, zombie, mockingbird, and widow shapes.

True, they do sound and play well - and look totally bitching! Likely some good deals to be had used.

The shapes are not for everyone however... very '80s metal...

A Fender P of any type (MIA, MIM, Squier Classic Vibe) will do the job, it all depends on your budget. The Lakland Glaub (or whatever it's called now) is very nice, but quite expensive, at least here in the UK. Try out what you can and go for the one that feels best to you.
