Aerodyne was going to be one that I was going to recommend as well. Everytime I go to GC I play the one's that there and we (the bass and I) just click... if I needed another 4 string and/or had the funds for it, I would've gotten it by now. I only see th eblack w/o pickgard one though, and frankly, I like it just like that. Simple, to the point, gets the job done w/style! :smug:

Good idea. The more I play my PJ, the more I love it. Mine is unique because it has a full size P body, PJ pickups, and a jazz taper neck. Pretty much perfect for my taste. Here is a pic. If you dont like mine, check Fender, Lakland,etc. If you have questions PM me directly and good luck.

Thanks! It really is and I love it so much that I have two more coming that are almost finished, one is a fretless and the other is fretted but very different than my sunburst. I'll be posting them on the "Wilkins Basses Appreciation Thread" as soon as I can.

Gotta love PJ basses. I mean, what else do you really need?

Here's my chambered Wilkins PJ with Fralins. I believe this was George's bass originally. My pics really don't do it justice. Seriously great basses!

I really like the sound of a P/J slapped. Its exactly the same as J/J, but its similar. The difference is more lows and low-mids from the P pickup compared to a J neck pickup. If you like an ultra-modern slap sound, then you probably wouldn't like the P/J slap sound. But, if you like a slap sound thats a little more raw, you might like a P/J. The extra lows really make the low E extra-punchy when slapped.

It takes about twenty minutes to swap by removing the pick guard, then the pickup just drops in and connects with an ultra mini 1/4. Replace the pick guard and that's it. Bliss........
