P pickups not working

You can reuse the wires, if you have enough length.

I recommend getting a small gauge wire stripper, cutting off the tip of the wire that came off, and stripping just a bit of the shielding to get some fresh wire that you can solder. Check you tube for some tutorials if you're new to this. It's pretty easy, but there are some helpful things to know.

I'm assuming you've also got a soldering iron and solder...
Yessir, bought the equipment yesterday. Just asking what would be best. As the last guy who “fixed” it everything tangled up and outta place I was thinking of changing it all as some spots are short and look like they’re hanging for their life

Sweet. Take some pics, show us what you're working with.

It might also make sense to start a new "help me with P-bass wiring" thread. You'll likely get more responses.
